The need

Adarsha Vidyalaya, are English medium model schools established in rural areas to afford better learning opportunities to meritorious students. Admissions to these high schools are selective and students have to perform well in an admission test designed to pick out the best.  But these students who join from  rural government schools receive little or no quality training on Self-confidence and good English Communication skills, thus placing them at a great disadvantage for future opportunities.  A structured program to train bright young students on these skills greatly improve the future prospects of these students.

Confidence Catalyst is a unique learning and development program for 6th to 9th Std government school children. This high impact program is designed to achieve results with a “do and learn” “activity driven” learning solution design, and the sessions facilitated by experienced and passionate facilitators.

Confidence Catalyst is developed and delivered by i-POINT (www.i-point.co.in) specialized in learning & development programs for higher education, school education and corporate.

The program is designed to assist the 6th to 9th grade students to

  • develop their self-confidence
  • develop skills in English on listening, speaking, reading and writing (LSRW)
  • dream, have an ambition, know about various careers, and set a goal!
  • Reinforce sound ethics and values

So far, we have made a difference in the lives of 340+ students.

While the initial sessions saw some hesitation, by the time we completed the year-long sessions these little kids were jumping up to participate in class. The facilitators saw a dramatic improvement in most students’ confidence. Even the shyest students were slowly working on their hesitation to talk.

As much as the program benefited the students it also left the creators/facilitators with a sense of contentment and joy in seeing the progress of the children.
